Brochure concept for an exhibit on Photorealism - This was a topic I found fascinating.
Like photographers, these artists capture moments. Unlike photographers, they use banal moments and recreate them painstakingly using paint and brush.
What I found truly remarkable is that one of these artists suffered a stroke later in his career and rather than let it derail his passion, retrained his body to develop photorealistic images by utilizing an approach roughly comparable to drawing a picture on a screen, pixel by pixel.
This project captured what I enjoy about creative solutions - having a good backstory that requires not just creativity, but also research and reliance on art history.
